State Aviation Enterprise Ukraine ordered to pay over UAH 918,000 for electricity
The Commercial Court of Kyiv Region partly upheld a claim by Energy Company Tsentralna LLC against the State Aviation Enterprise Ukraine and ordered the recovery of UAH 918,100 in electricity debt. In addition to the principal debt, the enterprise must pay UAH 13,800 in court fees. The court rejected the remaining claims.
The parties signed the electricity supply contract in December 2024 following a public tender on Prozorro. Its initial value was UAH 5.98 million, with a planned supply volume of 654,000 kWh. During 2025 the electricity price was revised ten times, reflecting distribution and transmission tariffs and weighted average day-ahead market prices. In January–September 2025 the enterprise consumed electricity worth UAH 2.36 million and paid in full for that period.
The dispute arose over a price revision
In autumn 2025, Tsentralna proposed another price revision because of a change in the electricity distribution tariff and rising weighted average day-ahead prices. The supplier proposed new per-kWh prices for settlements for September–December 2025. The enterprise did not agree, citing among other things legal limits on increasing the price under a procurement contract.
As a result, Tsentralna went to court demanding UAH 1.27 million in debt. The court found the claims partly justified and awarded UAH 918,100 in principal debt and UAH 13,800 in court fees.
